Attachment 172158 I have a genco on the way.
Henckels Friodur 472.
I fear, I acquired a serious case of Friodur addiction in the last few months.
A Brepols Moose Notebook - Pocket+ (9.5x16.5cm) - Recycled Leather BP-NOTE-BROWN, and it isn't one of those stupidly named things with a keyboard and screen either. It's one of those things you can write in with a pen/pencil/crayon etc. Thought I would get one of another persons make while in the process of working out how to make my own leather bound notebook.
Mick
My brand new Ralf Aust which is on its way back to SRD for a hone because I somehow put a nick in the blade after only a handful of shaves. Doh!
It's not what's coming in the mail today - it's what has just arrived. A three part delight. The first a NOS linen strop labeled Certifyd from ChrisL (thank you again), a new 30x magnifier for my tired eyes and to round it out, a package of free cat food for my loud half Siamese cat. Treats all around!
Since my other Challenge Razor Ebay find shaves extremely well, I decided I needed to have this one, too:

It's been a long time I was looking for one, and I was so happy to find it !
Now I'll have to hunt 78 trs :mace:
Ebay struck again, Hartford Cutlery SR and another Challenge Razor SR are on their way from Ebay :) So since Friday, thats 2 Challenge Razors, 1 Hartford and 1 Marcus & Hammesfahr. RAD has set in :) I worked a double on Friday, so I pretty much spent 16 hrs on Ebay :D
I have been watching this company for years and like what I've seen. Decided to buy one of their Dopp kits.

Right, so this thing popped up over at the vendors corner the other day.
When it comes to customs one have to move fast when they show up like this or they'll be snatched up:)
I might be getting a bit long in the tooth, but my Paypal-fu is still strong;)

That, my friend PHANTZM is what we call a good start. That's the same razor I started with and it is a good shaver! I have the modular paddle strop, also with English Bridle, which I love..and the oil and the DVD.
I have my first usable straight razor and strop in the mail.
I ordered a Dovo Bismark Ebony straight razor from https://www.thesuperiorshave.com/Dov...ght_razor.html
The strop is just a 3 inch strop off of Amazon.
Not in the mail anymore, it just showed up today. A big section of male walrus ivory. I'll be turning this into a solid handle and put one of my Simpson knots I acquired a while back. Can't wait to do this project, but will be on hold for a while.

A Burrell "Top Flight" spike point which Glenn said he honed on the Shaptons. Came in the mail yesterday (after I had shaved), so I saved it for today and it was amazingly sharp and smooth.

A box full of Hardy Shave soaps and aftershave balms. I've never used them before, so looking forward to it.
I'm waiting on a razor as usual. I have a fairly nice size collection of straights but recently acquired a Wilkinson Sword 7 day se razor plus a Rolls se razor. They are very interesting & I will use them to shave with once in a great while but I love my straights the best. There are just so many to choose from. I love collecting very old ones every chance I get. I have a few from the late 1700's early 1800's. I also have several good books about straight razors which are very informative. It helps to know some history behind your razors especially dating which I feel is important to me. Thanks for the question as it is very interesting what others are obtaining as well. Good luck on your new hobby!
unseen straight from Larry at Whipped Dog.
My last Friodur that I had mentioned earlier in this thread turned out to be a dud, with a hairline-crack in the point, some pitting near the edge (all only visible with a 10x magnification loupe), and resolutely refuses to take an edge on the Naniwa 1000. :td
Now I am waiting for the Mühle Silvertip Fibre® XL and new Valobra hard soaps to arrive.
Always had a soft spot Valobra and I am curious how this one performs. I know already how the Silvertip Fibre® performs:tu, just switching to a larger 25 mm knot.
