Just got this today, Lawton & Sons Celebrated Razor:

I fell off the wagon with another purchase. There was another razor I had really wanted but fell asleep and missed bidding. It sold for less than $6.
:gaah:
This one though has the shape I really love with a deep stamp and no pitting as far as I can tell.
Mailman delivered this today: 9"x2", greenish hue.

Just got this in the mail so technically it was in the mail today until about an hour ago. It's a Sheffield 5/8 wedge. Really wish I knew the history behind it or even who made it. Anybody smart on that kind of thing? "Sheffield" is the only markings on the blade and the box it came in is just as ambiguous (as far as I know)
Just left Spain towards me. My first 14.

The razor's coffin tells a very interesting story, and I am pretty certain that it is original to the razor.
Thomas Paine once lived at 77 Fetter Lane.
Albin Anthony May was a hairdresser who operated a shop at that address. The records I was able to dig up indicate he was in business as early as 1909 if not prior. It appears that he died October 26th 1930,
HAD just went to a whole new level.
My very first Jnat,
If you don't count my C-PHIG, then this is my very first natural finishing stone.
