If I could only have one scent for everything, it would be lime.
One of my low-priced favorites...not Castle-Forbes, but :shrug:Attachment 292855Attachment 292856
I dig everything Lime/citrus. Trumpers limes, Razorock Lime, MDC Argumes, Proraso Azure lime, etc.
I did not spring for the CF AS Balm......Yet. Was not bad for the cream. 35 bux on Amazon and free ship. Balm was 50. Might try that Maggards someday.
Anyone try the pucker from Oleo?
I'll try some of those. My favorite lime aftershave is the Royall Lyme I bought on a cruise, but my wife thinks it's because I can drink it in a pinch...lots of alcohol burn!
Well.....I went for the Oleo pucker. Got the AS and balm as well.
The bergamot is there. Reasonable price. Oleo seems well-regarded.
I'm also crazy about lime scents. My favorites and others I've tried are:
1. Mystic Water: the most natural scented lime soap that I've tried, and a terrific soap, although some people find it difficult to lather.
2. Tim's Soaps: unfortunately these soaps are no loner made as he had a terrific lime soap, as well as Greek Peach.
3. Sapone Di Paolo, now called Eleven: a terrific lime and basil scent, a tier 2 soap.
4. Mike's Natural Soaps: a very nice lime scent in one of my favorite soaps.
5. Proraso Single Blade Shave Cream, Azur Lime: a very nice lime scent and a terrific cream. Highly recommended!
6. Castle Forbes Lime: I'm not big fan of this scent as many people are, although I use it because CF creams perform so well.
7. Occams Crushed Lime: an expensive cream from Australia. I find the scent too light and the performance average at best.
As long as it has a citrus scent and lathers right, I will be happy.
So many good ones! These are the days for lather, it would seem..
I just ordered the AOS Sandalwood soap and a new bottle of Special Reserve Clubman. Love that Clubman!
It arrived Wednesday, but I caught a cold the might before. I was only just now feeling well enough to photograph anything from this haul. Had trouble explaining to my wife the roughly cubic foot package that landed on our doorstep :w.
The big oddity: a (presumably) travel strop made by J. R. Torrey & Co. It is spring-loaded, and rolls back up into the cylindrical case.

Looks usable.

"Razor Strop" with patent dates.

Is this printing technique called "Lithography"?
Does anyone have any additional information about this strop? I basically found squat online, so far.
