Not counting hardware areas, just working surface, it’s 18x3. Already has been treated with Neetsfoot oil.
Aside from a small imperfection near the hardware, this seems to be a nice quality leather. Shouldn’t be a problem keeping away from that spot. I strop like I shave.

    Aloha!

Although I have about 10 tubes and bottles of aftershave balm, I've discovered this Nivea Sensitive is absolutely incredible for my face. More calming after a shave than their "cooling" balm, and as a plus, it's basically fragrance free. It has Witch Hazel and Camomile incorporated, and for my skin, that really sooths and refreshes, even after a slightly volitile shave. I also like the way it moisturizes without being greasy.

I bought a bottle from Amazon a month ago, and I am almost done with it. I went to re-order and realized that the 3-pack was only a few bucks more than the one pack. Go figure. Anyway, the 3 pack shipment should be here today. A 3 month supply if I use it after every shave. And I probably will.

Another couple of Vintage Straights are on their way to (my) home...

First one is an old W&B to clean and restore.

Second one is a Solingen "Tennis" n. 20 (anyone knows about this model?) with nice metal scales. Blade seems almost new and has an inscription that means "for delicate skin"

    Mail Call
This week we have the famous and terrific Art of Shaving of New York, Sandalwood shaving cream which is brought to us by our very own Proctor & Gamble of Ohio.
And Pine and Cedar Shaving soap brought to us by a small batch organic no nonsense soap maker, Brooklyn Made Natural. And a little boar brush.
