Nice haul. I paid $5 a few times just for the scales, but the fact that you are going to be able to salvage some of the blades as shorties even better.
-
Yeah figured $2 each wasn't bad even for busted blades, 3 of the blades just need cleaned up and are restorable

I think the thistle cutlery razor is carved bone, not ivory. The scales just look too thick and the pinning isn't consistent with what you would see with ivory scales. Nice haul though. I wish I had a razor guy.
-
You need a better pic of that Thistle. From what I can tell I would agree with silver4 on that it's probably not ivory. I think when they pinned ivory it was without washers. And I believe they are made thinner than say a horn or plastic scale. If you can see faint lines running through it like the AVON it could be ivory. By no means am I an expert. Bone would have specs/ticking or an almost grain to it.
Nice score!

Definitely not bone, and honestly doesn't look like plastic...has no grain to it and is pretty thin, I've got plenty of ivory scales....the specs etc are just dirt etc. Its solid colored.

Well if that's ivory, all the better the thistle is my favorite of the bunch!
