I store mine dry because cell rot can be triggered by any number of things. I dry it after use and let it air out with the blade open, then I put it into an open container with rice and store it in a cool cabinet out of direct light and moisture.Quote:

Engine46-I have handled and used a couple of Seal knives. They certainly fancy heavy duty, rugged blades that can take abuse. I can just picture one of them using a delicate hollow ground blade to sever a power cable during a night raid lol! (Having said that, I'm sure they take meticulous care of the tools they trust their lives with, so thanks again for the advice).

I use Tuff-glide on all my blades. You put it on, wipe it off. Microbonding, they say. Dry lube. However it works, it just does. It stays and protects the metal. I have not seen any ill effects of it on any material. Celluloid included! YMMV
I love the stuff! I'm sold on it. If the Navy Seals use it, it has to be good. It does dry up after awhile & I think it works better once it does dry up. Thanks for your reply!
