Hello everyone! New guy here. I need help identifying a razor I picked up a few days ago. It says "Our Pet" which I believe means it's a Robeson but there are some markings on it that don't match any Robeson razor I've seen. It does say Germany on the right as well as a odd makers mark on the tale. On the left there are some other markings I can't make out. Wow thanks guys!! I guess it's just really worn. Can anyone tell me about this razor? Is it rare or just a decent shaving razor? Should I consider polishing it up?
Pretty old Boker, I think. The tang is fairly pitted, but the blade seems nice. The scales have some weird damage at the top front. It should make an excellent shaver. It could be unpinned, sanded a bit and polished up some, and put in some better scales. Aside from that, I would just clean and polish as best possible, hone it up, and leave it be.
Awesome, I'll do some research on restoring it and post some pics when I'm done. I make knives but have never messed around with straight razors. This will be fun:) thanks again!
