Looks like a winner gooser , you trying to corner the market on coticlues or fishing for the magic one ?
Great stone Gooser!
I really like the black line through it
Mine also has one, thought to be a Pike brand.

Looks good Gooser ! Want to trade it for a LaGrise paperweight ?? :deal:
Looks good to me! seems I get better honing with lines and spots in the stone.
Have fun!

Coticules have been my Achilles heal, they have driven me crazy for years.
ya know i have watched video and technique after technique on how to hone with them and not that i get the most out of them every time but most the time i get an edge to the way "I" like .. and never have i used the same honing technique .. but i always start at the same point .. 75-100 circles on my coti bevel setter , then 30-40 circles on a BBW side heavy slurry , then ?? many strokes on water BBW side , then onto coti side with no main system , just kind go with the flow until i feel its good .. sometimes im good and sometimes im back to the stone .. best part is that im striving for my sharpness so there is no pressure for perfection and it gives me a challenge almost every time and gives me a clear mind as my focous is on the razor !!
