Swayback, Smiley, 7/8", and really cool :tu....Beautiful blade Sir !!
Old Zebediah would be happy to know it's going to you :)
Very cool. Enjoy!
That is one of the nicest blades I have seen dating that far back. Congratulations
If it in came with the stropper and the drawer, you got a wondrous find!

The only thing that really threw me off was I thought there was a stropper on the case as others I have do but this one doesn't. It's just a case alone but it is still really cool. The sellers name is joecrow on eBay & he runs across some cool things sometimes but when he first listed this, he put $259.95 BIN or make offer but it never sold & he removed the listing but then I saw he had it up on auction & I won it for under $100.
I believe that the sheet metal case originally had a layer of very fine glove leather on it and the years have removed it. I have found two that were leather covered. Mine have it folded over the end and glued tightly against the metal and tacked into the wood paddle and taped at the drawer end and along the tack line.
Yours should be able to be renewed that way, should you wish.

I found it! It has an instruction label on top which is barely legible. It is on hard cardboard like a coffin box. The main part is metal & I pulled on it & it came out. The strop is on it. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. I do have one 2 razor storage box made of wood that doesn't have a strop on it at all but it is old like at least from the 1800's. Thanks Richard.
