Martin, That's almost identical with the exception of 1 line where it fits on the head. Other than that, they're identical. Perhaps they couldn't use the exact same marking.Quote:

I have a TI #69, so I knew what to expect and it was par for the course. Fine.
The Crown 14 1/2 - while I was honing it, I started to think the razor was some type of commemorative piece, not meant to be used to shave with, otherwise an RSO. For a big razor, it is actually very, very light, and the metal doesn't feel like steel at all, but something much, much lighter and finer, yet it was still very hard. I expected the shave to dull out quickly, just didn't understand what this razor is made of, and also I may be totally wrong - I'm no metallurgist, but while light, it was very flexible, and as a result, really conformed to my face very nicely.
The shave was one of the best I've ever had, as soon as I started using it, I could tell it was closely shaving everywhere, my neck area was almost DFS after the WTG pass. The following XTG and the ATG passes didn't have much work to do, and after feeling my 4 day beard area, no scratchy feeling anywhere.
The metal on this razor has me stumped, it almost feels like tin...

Phrank, I have been wondering about framebacks. How does the shave of the TI 69 compare to other razors like a full hollow or near wedge?
Framebacks, especially the vintage French one's in my opinion, are superb. You know I like the big Sheffields, so when I first tried a TI #69 I picked up for $20.00 from a Canadian eBayer, I figured I would be disappointed. In fact, they are among my favourite razors now, I have several old, various named French framebacks, and they are light, they feel great in the hand, and I guess due to their usual unique blade shape, you really easily get a great shave in otherwise troublesome areas, especially the neck area.Quote:
