Mine has a double hollow. What is even more like Keller are the Gloria models. I had really wanted one when I bought the Rosette, but I thought it was too much money.

So, the search is coming along :)
Here is the state of my Keller "family", which just got a new member for Christmas

I’d sure like to see so,e closer pictures of those. They look very interesting.
The second pic in the #1 post and the left top and bottom in post #12 look similar to a Cattaraugus Prince I have. One copying the other or convergent evolution?

Best I can do for now is repost a picture made by the original owner of the ivory one

Most G. Keller blades I've seen (5/8, that's not a bit sample but still...) have this shape.
Here is another example of a pair I am seriously eyeballing (but the owner would not let it go unless I can provide something equivalent)

Something worth considering in this post : the razor I actually created the thread for has been... Put aside let's say.
I you look close enough, you will see that the edge has lost its smile and been reduced so much that you have a sharp angle at the tang. Compared to a "correct" blade of the same type, it's just not as good whatever you do.
I will try, if I find the time for that, to post pictures of the one at the top. It is at the same time more classic and more "exotic" for a French blade. Extremely hollow for a hand made grind, and the steel is... Something a bit out of this world.
See, I got it for free because the guy I wanted to buy it from "as found on a Flea Market" wanted to prove me his skills and ended letting a hammer fall on the edge which bent it a bit.
While I tried to straighten it on the edge of a stone, the bevel actually elastically waved. And it shaves a bit like a swedish blade. Such a curious razor. It's a bit broken and my feelings are mixed but still...
well... Mostly it's everyone copying Sheffield I'd say.
Add time and follow the artistic timeline in the 19th to 20th century. It goes
Simple -> Heavy -> A lot of detail -> Simplification
You have only so many features you can adjust on a razor.
Tang, nose, grind, shouldering...
And if you ask a lot of people their bells and whistles whishlit on a razor it will end in :
- This tang
- Barber's notch
- Shoulderless
- Hollow ground as much as skill allows
(that's what actually happened a few years back on a French Forum)
The reason why you Prince looks like the #1 post is because its been flattened and lost its smile
OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY

AND THAT MAKES 7 ! In a gentleman kit from just the right period for Keller (when the moved Rue Joubert and before they were Avenue de Matignon).
I don't know what the razors look like, but I have been guaranteed by the auctioneer that they have the brand on the tang :)
What a wonderful kit that is.
Bob
Wow, you did well.
I never find any cool shaving stuff, maybe I should get out more :hmmm:
