That's a nice one. I have several like it but two are absolutely mint. Sorry the photo's aren't the best. I screwed up my MacBook the other day & had to do a clean install & now I have to go into my external hard drive & restore it back to the last backup which was October 22, 2014, then update the O.S. again. I lost all my previous pics but will get most of them back. I was going to restore it back to that date but stopped the restore when I realized I forgot to back it up so I would have my pics between then & now but when I stopped it, it screwed everything up. I couldn't believe i did that but, sometimes we make mistakes. :banghead:
Oh well...................lesson learned!
It's a Robeson thing. It probably had deeper gun bluing at some point
Must be an aesthetic thing then, it's in the wrong spot to be grip.
The Robeson has jumps on the bottom. The hammered pattern feels great in the stropping grips, though.
I think the hammered tang is a signature look of hand forged blades. It's a popular thing.
Nice razor by the way :<0)
I've really wanted one of these for awhile. Just stumbled across it in the wild. $25 was a great price I think. The corrosion is insignificant and the scales are perfect. I need to find the 7/8 shuredge someday.
