The wedge grind blade is just over 13/16 and is polished bright. I'm told this was called a crocus finish back in the day. It does not have his trademark set-square and compass. The black horn scales are in remarkably good condition. There is a lead wedge and the pins are brass and appear to be collarless. If I did my homework correctly this razor dates between 1823 and 1833. In 1833 the firm was relisted as John Barber & Son. None to soon I think as John Barber died 13 April 1834. I only have a few stub tails and I was really pleased to get this one.
