Oh it did the job properly alright. :)
Yes, nearly a full pass without wiping the blade.
Here's the SOTD:

Nice work! :tu Something I have desired for a long while, yet seems (is) unobtainable!
1+ on that character! I DO have a 9/8 Sutcliffe lying in the proverbial draw.
Might be time to bring it back to life as well! Might satisfy the craving?
Great just what I need.. another razor to obsess over. That thing is incredible. Great score!
That is super cool :)
Super job sashimi. You kept it looking nostalgic! I like to do that on old ones I have if I can. Congrats on the great work!
Well done! Lovely piece, pitting included :)
Nice, plenty of steel there to give it a good cleaning and put it back into service.
Congratulations Sashimi on this one as you outbid me on it, you did a good job, better than I would have done.
I did find another one though a couple of months later. Not as large as yours, mine is only 30,5 mm
Last weekend I found a very bad one but I bought it anyway for the scales and the box.

Thanks for sharing Tony. That's a fine blade. I find the steel on these blades to be very soft somehow. I've had two others before this one and the feel was the same. Enjoy it!
