Needs love fur sure.
Other than the scales, it looks pretty good,,
It all looks just lovely, Dave. Horn sturdy. Original collars intact. Blade may be lightly reground, but is full and unmolested.
Awesome project to bring it all back with a bit of brass rod to boot. Don't let me down, now! :tu
Looks like a great project for sure
Look forward to seeing the final work
Those collars on the front side look just fine, Dave. Easy to reuse them and use 1/16 rod to pin it.
That's going to be one fine razor when brought back to life.
Excellent find!!!

Cleaning up nicely...
Coming along nicely indeed. There will still be some pitting, mainly because I'm tired of sanding the d$&@ thing.:)
Looking GOOD Dave!
Definitely nice Dave & you are making very good progress in his age old art. Just sand on it a little at a time. I know it can get frustrating but in the end it will be rewarding. She will be a beauty when done, you can do it. Just takes some time.
Now the scale work begins. I'm gonna have to figure out a good epoxy, that has a little time before it step up.
After more sanding.....
Since Chevhead Ed was kind enough to restore a set of horn scales for this one, and they are gorgeous too, I really need to get off my butt and pin it up...
12 hour work days don't leave much time for bourbon and razors.
Take your time ChopperDave.
There is no timeline to get it done.
Damn, that's a beauty Chopper, got a real nice smile to it. You pin it up, I'll drink the bourbon...
Can't wait to see 'er pinned up Dave but like Chevhead said, take your time & do it when you feel comfortable about it.
Oh crap......
Scales from another razor that Ed (Chevhead) restored are too long for the Choppa!
:gaah:
full and unmolested....love it
Not sure that's what comes to mind for me but...this is one hell of a razor. There is definitely a time line. We need this thing finished NOW....lol
Not enough huge cleavers showing up these days on the forum.
Thanks for sharing.

It will probably be the four day weekend holidays before I can get this one done. I'm gonna have to take a little less than a 1/4" off the pivot end and reshape, sand and polish the scales before I can pin it up....
