I have to believe that Whiting sold completed items. They sold Silver lidded jars, yet were not in the glass-making business.

Tom, you may be right that blades were imported here since we know many straights were brought over to the states back in the day & I've been doing some research to see if Whiting imported any of their products but I can't find anything. It was just a thought.
