This razor, a little 4/8th Plumacher was part of a 3 razor deal. It started life with pink celluloid scales that were damaged. Tarkus rescaled the razor in some tasteful horn. Everything was cool until I saw a cheap razor on the bay that I decided to bid on just for the scales as I thought they would fit the Plumacher. I won the faux tortoiseshell scales and next asked Darl if he would mind if I swapped out the scales on the old and new razor. I was going to make arrangements to have this done. Darl said to send the razors to him. I told him they were a perfect fit (pin to pin and same size blade) but he had some doubt based on the probability of things turning out that way. In his words, "In a million years you will never have another swap out that worked so perfectly again. Simply amazing not a bit of fudgery involved. Blows my mind."
Thanks to luck and a friend, I beat the odds.
