Wow!! That one does look clean,
I just notice the hinge pin. looks like a replacement. The scales have a white spacer so i believe there not original. It really doesn't matter because of the price of it on the buy it now side. Now i may be wrong on both accounts.
It might still be lead, just oxidized a bit.Quote:

This one got here today. Instead of being 6/8 it turned out to be almost 7/8. That was nice. There's quite a bit of etching on the blade though faint. I took the blade out of the scales and cleaned and polished then cleaned the scales. replace the pin and now honing. So far so good.
I tried it out this evening and as suspected it did good. The heavier blades just feel better in the hand even though the scales on this one are replacement. I'm trying to decide whether to order some horn and replace the scales or not. the scales are in good shape but not horn. decisions decisions.
