Bought these a while back for next to nothing. Got 'em cleaned up and honed. They shave like a wedgey blade but without the weight. Quiet, smooth and light.

Nice! Can't beat those hollow grinds for a nice shave. I never saw the bamboo scales in black. Gives it a nice look. Enjoy.
Second that I like the scales
Robeson’s rarely disappoint, nice set of razors.
Yep, Mr Palm, those 'New Science' Robisons DO shave good.
Martin and I were discussing how it may be possible old George Korn might have ground them as he held the patent.
I have a Cattaraugus and a Clauss ground like it as well. Much different than one might think. Stiff, but the top grind gives the blade a unique personality, I think!

Your pic shows the grind better than my pics. They aren't really a full hollow. They are smooth shavers, Millard Filmore Robeson and George Korn were on to something. :)
I still like the heft of the older Sheffies, but these are fun every now and then. I'm glad now that I went ahead and gave the guy a twenty dollar bill for the pair. LMAO
Grazor, I'm still hanging. Taking some time off from work and trying to get my blood pressure down. Working on a job change, if that doesn't work, I'll probably retire from the insane asylum that place where I'm at now has turned into.
Still using my ugly old paint stirrers for the most part. Wife wishes I'd use 'em a bit more regular. :) I figger every three or four days is enough, she disagrees. Oh well.
Yeah, know the feeling. Should be shaving more and buying less. Great thing about those big old wedges, you can wipe away a weeks worth without even rinsing the blade.
Great deal you got there buddy. I have had a few of these. They are darn nice shavers. Shaved 1 like Tom's for when I am feeling kinky :<0)
All these years and the wife hasn't figured out she married a scruffy old cowboy ?
LOL, of the two, I prefer the square point for some unknown reason. Shaved with the round point couple of nights ago.
I think I got a slightly better edge on the square point is the only difference. The round point has a very slight warp. Both shave well but the square point does it a bit better. :)
