Coolest coticule I have come across in a long time. Early kid gloves tests seem to indicate that it is very seriously fine, and not just fine for a coticule Attachment 244586Attachment 244587Attachment 244588Attachment 244589Attachment 244590

Most interesting cuticle I have seen in a long time, wouldn't mind taking it for a test run.
Hehe!

That ain't a coticule, it is a Heath bar with the chocolate licked off ........... :rofl2:
That is probably the prettiest coticule I've seen. Be careful with it. They always glue them onto a backing because they break easily.
It came in an oil caked box. I was hoping for some nice salm or lorraine backing and the coticule just never stopped coming out. Remarkable.
awesome score alright
at that size it should be good for a century of daily honing
Only test so far was some halfstrokes on water on each side with the same ruined engstrom I put to every new rock to check for speed/anything toxic. Last thing it was on was a nice knife grade charnley, you can see the border of improvement from the side with the dark wave on the surface. It's treetopping arm hair again... I have a nos wester manganese and some other excellent test fodder to give this a proper shakedown in my honing queue. 8" x very slightly under 1 1/4" honing surface. Should be awesome for a wedge.Attachment 244606
