Default Early 19th century officer's dressing case by Maire

A recent acquisition, this is a French officer's dressing case from the first half of the 19th century, sold by Maire in Paris (there are some much more elaborate cases if you search for that name). This one contains two nesting trays for implements related to toiletry, spots for bottles, and a section for writing tools such as ink and seal. As far as the contents, more to come later.

Very nice acquisition!. Amazing the amount of work that went in to making the box alone.
