    Default Found another travel case

Found a similar strop/hone travel case, similar to one I already have.
The case itself and the Schwedenstein slab are both in great condition, but the leather strop is busted. It sucked a lot of neatsfoot oil but its deformities did not healed.
What kind of leather could I use to replace this?Name: IMG_20160921_152311664.jpg

You might be able to buy a replacement strop strap, cheap & cut to the size of that one.

Or possibly a section of leather belt, it looks kinda thick, like a belt.

Is there a type of natural leather that one could not use?

I am thinking about to buy a new hanging strop and use the middle section of my old one ( the non-nicked part) for it

If you can find a saddle or horse tack shop, ask them for a piece of vegetable tanned leather, looks to be around 14oz thickness. If it's just nailed on, that would be an easy fix.
