Cattagarius our best, has a few issues but should clean up nice. Love the spine marks.

Joseph Allen &Sons wedge needs some work lots of rust and character.

Finally a shoulderless from St. Paul can't remember exactly the maker needs a good cleaning.
All in all lots of work ahead but should be some good blades in the end. The rattler is the prize in the bunch IMO. Thanks for looking :)

Well that rattler is very nice but the Cattaraugus is very cool as well, double hollow patented by no other then George Korn.

Thanks for posting George Korn's patent, Martin! I have a bellied hollow Thistle that obviously needs a Double Hollow to keep her company. I will have to keep my eyes peeled for one. I absolutely love the complexity and skill involved in grinding a hollow blade in this fashion. :)

Thanks Mike I cant wait to get started on one of these :D Martin as always thanks for sharing a bit of information. Always love the history, anyone care to venture a guess with age of the Rattler? I am not terribly familiar with these as it is my first one, I would guess 1860?
Also Martin when I get home I am going to have to check this hollow grind Catt, out because now I am intrigued. I just looked at the pics and it is a different hollow grind than all my others. Very interesting :D
