I know it's not a razor. But figured it might be neat for some to see. Acquired it at an auction the past weekend.

I've done a little travelin' . Very nice apron !! I would definitely take care of that, good sir .
Apron is for the Worshipful Master if I remember correctly, yes?
Interesting, so I should probably try to find one of these any time I decide to handle one of my precious, precious Wade & Butcher's? :o
edited to add, especially this one....

I was curious why this one has so clearly had the circular crests removed and replaced with these medallions rather than just a new apron presented to him?
When a Mason becomes a Master Mason he is presented with the an apron that has blue rosettes in place of those "medallions" (called levels), two on the bottom and one on the top of the apron.
The man who owned this apron obviously had this apron from then and when he became Master of the Lodge, he removed those rosettes and replaced them with the levels, which are a symbol of the Worshipful Master or a Past Worshipful Master.
Been traveling since the early 70s .
Rising Sun Lodge #115.
Wyckoff Lodge #247. It's been a long time. I have a W&B Masonic razor that needs a bit of restoration. I'll post when complete.

I know absolutely nothing about Masons, but after reading this thread I'm going to have to learn more.
Arguably the most (or one of the most ) powerful organizations who have helped build our societies to be what they are today. All the way from the time of the churches. I have the utmost respect for the organization and the power they truly behold. Not to mention the truths they hold, before the church forced their beliefs and elaborate and altered versions of events to control. Not trying to get religious or political. Just saying.
Very nice apron, never seen the rosettes removed like that before. Interesting. The gold trim in Ontario (guessing from your location) indicates the Lodge is over 100 years old (<100 = silver trim).
I'm just down the road, Hamilton "A" District.
