Well it doesn't look big.... But now here it is compared to a "regular" 7/8 frameback from Leresche :

At first I was not that very impressed, but then when I saw it in comparison........... WOW that is amazing.

And the brush!

The remind me of this brush I saw at a local auction. The thing was about 7 inched across the back and about a foot and a half long. Sold for $300. I liked it but not that much.

I keep looking at the holes in the backside scale. Was it mounted to plaque or something of that nature?

I think so, yes ! I don't see any other explanation.
