That is certainly a nice collection. If you got it for a good price, you did really well. Those big choppers should clean up pretty good.

    LOL

I had to look up what a Urham omino was.
    I thought it was a latin quote..LMAO

That thing is an old bone left over from a fish fry.

I was aiming for those huge blades that the owner had tucked away in like picture 8 or 9. I contacted the owner after the war was over to see if he could tell me the width of the blades on the largest 2 and this was the message that I got in return:

    Hello Sir Cheetah,

Firstly, thank you so much for your business and interest in these razors. They were my father’s, whose nickname was “Razors” for his collection!

Unfortunately, I am in another state and I have packed them to be shipped off by my mother. They are wrapped very protected in newspaper, and trying to do this now would confuse her.

They will be shipped to you tomorrow and I will post the tracking number!

    Thanks again,

    THE SAGA CONTINUES.
I only care about the 2 huge ones. I might but the rest up back to the universe.

Nah! You don't need to learn about those, Cheetah!
They are old safety razors with blades long out of production.
When you receive, look at the way the 'D' wraps around the words.
    Then you will see!

Oh, I saw that lot. and I wanted it, and I even bid on it. But I knew in my heart of hearts, I could not afford it, and I didnt want to be the ass who made the bidding go higher than it had to be for some lucky bastid.

Honestly though, I thought it was going to hit a grand. If those Rogers are the 1.25" the hollow ground alone can hit a grand when bidders get stupid.
But you know me... "Theres always another" Congrats Cheetah. Oh, its actually been like, multiple years since I saw you here... You ever actually SHAVE with any of your beasts yet?

I'm totally that guy that will make another bidder suffer...but thats because I bid in the last 8 seconds...lol

I'm glad that the bidding did not hit a grand but I do hope that those 2 large choppers do pan out to the 10/8s range. Fingers crossed.

Over the years I would check in now and then. I moved on the collecting cleavers and cutlery for a long while then after that it was san pedro cacti....
and I just needed something to make my grand entrance back into the forum....and I finally scored this one. Hopefully it'll be here this week.

I haven't yet shaved. Still just in collection mode at this point. But I stare at them every so often...LMAO

Thanks for checkin in on me Magpie.
I will definately learn to shave soon. Trying to figure out which one to start with.

One of these days I'm going to just drive over with my box O rocks, hone a blade for you, and give you a shave. You gotta start somewhere!
