Clauss New Departure Razor
I finally found a nice one. Clauss Cutlery Freemont, Ohio 1887 to present. An 11/16 round point fuller ground blade. The New Departure Razor was a unique grind with a fuller ground the length of the blade leaving material at the edge like found on a wedge. The result is a light stiff blade. I have found magazine advertisements as early as 1905 depicting this razor. There was no hone wear and it appeared to have the factory bevel. I suspect the razor was never used. It did not take much to clean this one up.
