Default How My Wife Enables Me

Sharing here a few thoughtful ways my wife has supported the hobby...

Razor and brush rack for my birthday, which helps immensely avoiding oxidation out here by air drying the razors:

As a gift for my recent promotion, she had a local woodworker make a large rosewood chest to hold all of my hones and stones. She even made little socks for the loose stones!

Everyone should have a wife that is so supportive. That local "woodworker" is a little more than just a woodworker I think. Wonderful chest that.

Yes, he's a Pakistani fellow... The letters in the chest are actually brass engravings. When I first saw it I thought it was painted... he's quite good.

You win on at least two counts: having such a supportive mate and having a mate who knows such a talented wood artisan.

    Congratulations.

It's a beautiful thing to have a wife who supports you and your pursuits. My wife supports mine as such too. You're a very fortunate man.
Man I love that chest! That guy's not a woodworker. He's a master craftsman.
