    Default Wilbert Army Special

This was waiting for me in the mail today. I saw it on Ebay a few days ago (pic #1), and took a chance, figuring if I could pick it up for a few bucks, it might be worth fooling with. I ended up winning it for the princely sum of $2.79, plus $5.00 shipping . When I opened the package, I found this (pic #2) .

What a pleasant surprise, huh?!?! Enjoy the "new" razor; I think those have a pretty good reputation too among those that own them.

Things like this almost make me think it's worthwhile to buy on eBay!
    Almost!

If you spend a little time looking around you never know what you might find.....I picked up 2 lots of 2 straights each just last week. Both lots cost $20 including the shipping and all 4 razors turned out to be in great shape. Needs honing and a bit of cleaning, but for $40 total you just can't beat it.....IMHO.....

I've had pretty good luck on the 'Bay - at least so far. Like Crichton said, you just have to take some time and look around. Some of my best Ebay razors have been the ones I paid the least for. I won an ivory scaled Wade and Butcher Celebrated for 6 bucks a couple of months ago, and just last week I picked up a 2 razor lot for $7.50 that was advertised as "2 razors, German and Sheffield". Well, the Sheffield turned out to be a Wade & Butcher, Friday of a 7-day set, in near mint condition. There are still some real bargains out there amongst the junk, you just have to dig a bit to find them.
