Nice Wade and Butcher
The same day I got that Wonderedge on eBay, I missed a big W&B meat chopper/Barber's Use razor. But I got another W&B, a bit smaller but still obviously over 5/8" and very clean. It arrived earlier this week and I got around to honing it earlier today and then shaved with it. It arrived bright and shiny, with just a bit of discoloring at the shank and tang, no discernible hone wear on the spine, and a very narrow bevel at the edge. Even the hard rubber scales are only lightly faded. It's a 6/8" not big by W&B standards, but a nice size.

A light pyramid on my Norton 4/8K, on the the Thuringian and finishing on the Chinese 12K and then a strop pasted with CO and it was ready. Now it has just a tiny bit of hone wear at the spine but it shaved perfectly--BBS after the first "down" pass, perfection after the second pass.

I spent a good bit of the afternoon honing--what a calm, methodical pastime! At least when all goes well...
best, Dan

That's a dandy looking razor -- congrats! I love barber's notches myself.
