My First Mastro Livi...

I just received this beauty from Straight Razor Designs. It is a Livi Regrind with Olive Wood Scales. Thanks Don and Lynn:

I was looking at that razor along with the one having Buckeye Burl scales. Being an ex-Ohio boy, the Buckeye got the edge.. I couldn't be more pleased with my 1st Livi razor either.

I have one of these but with Snakewood scales! They're awesome shavers! Very smooth. I like the weighty feel and the stiffer grind! Have you shaved with it yet??

I haven't shaved with it yet. I actually finished my first restoration/complete hone to shave ready with a 6/8 W.H. Greaves and Sons. See it in the restoration gallery section. I got a BBS with no nics ...a little tug on the scratchies to remind me I am not a hone"miester". It will be interesting to shave with the Livi after my first restoration....Ooooohhhh, This is what it should feel like:hmmm:

I shaved with mine. After proper prep, was like a knife through hot butter.

My regrind has become the number 1 razor of my harem. Well, I really don't have the numbers for a harem of razors, but she is the best razor I've ever used. Smooth.
They no longer have the year on them?

In the valleys around Perugia there are HUGE Olive gardens, so Olive scales are very suitable (and looks good)!

I did the same thing....forgot the pics. I sold some of my "starter" razors and other odds and ends for the dough. My wife and I will be celebrating our 11 year anniversary tomorrow. We have our third little one on the way. Not a good time to ask for me right now, so I had to take care of it through other channels...:p

p.s. I've been blamed for worse. What are friends for...
