My T.Hessen-Bruch & Co Perfection

I just finished up one of my recent ebay aquisitions. I had to improvise a tad on the pins. I gouged the scale a bit with my Dremmel when I was removing the pivot pin so.. after cleaning and polishing the blade (the worst rust was on the spine at the tip and right at the pivot pin).

So.. to cover up the gouge, I domed a pair of my washers with a nail and some soft wood and I used them on outside of the scales. I don't think it came out very bad but I'm not entirely satisfied with it and it'll bug me for all my days (or until I come up with something better).

Also, there's still a bit of pitting on the spine at the end but otherwise, I'm happy with the blade.

Now I have to hone it up so I can shave my face and head in the morning.

Wow! I got a lot of responses!! j/k.... My first shave with it this morning did not go too well. It left behind quite a bit, so it is going back to the hone. Funny... it passed the thumbnail and the hht... meh.

Why thats a handsome razor you got there. I dig the bear motif on the scale, very unexpected..

The polishing looks like it came out rather well on that, and the improvised pinning actually came out fine.... Now being the complusive idiot that I am, having different pins would bug me too, so just make another matching one and re-pin the wedge pin :) problem solved :y

Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to end up having to repin both ends because I'm out of the dovo pins from classicshaving and they appear to be out of stock. I have some brass rod and washers on the way though, this razor will be my ginuea pig after I practice on a junker (never pinned using just brass rod before)

You still haven't told us how it shaves? :)
