Since I been gone off the BST Part 2

Here are the 15 more I mentioned in the first part quoting Joed.I got them form a seller on Ebay on a Buy Now basis and Boy did that gamble pay off.They arrived a couple of days ago and I already started work on them.They came in a wooden box.Looks like it belonged to a Barber,the box had hair nippings stuff in the compartments.Had to slide out guts of box to clean it out thoroughly.Sprayed it with water - bleach mixture,then sprayed with heavy duty disinfectant.Three of the razors had bad scales,but the blades are in great condition.The seller stated that about half of the razor scales had heat damage,not so.The Filharmonica you see is not part of the deal,I picked this one up last Thursday on the way home from work.I was passing an antique shop and debated if I should stop,passed it up and as soon as I did something in my head said WHAT IF?.So I turned around and Happy day!, The only razor in the shop was a Filharmonica No.12 w/Emerald Green scales in great condition :eek:.It was a Miracle.Anyways I will post pics as I clean and hone the razors.Thanks for looking.Sincerely Big Al:medvl:

Holy smokes :eek: great haul ! I've got to start looking at antique stores and razor lots on the bay. I have been thinking about those who commented in your thread # 1 as to why you need all of those razors. To me the answer is if you don't know I can't explain it to you :) but to anyone who is curious I'll try anyway.

I don't need more then a couple of razors to shave with but having 100 + is my hobby. I could be collecting stamps or butterflies and that would be alright but it isn't my thing. I love to take a razor and hone it up and shave with it.

They are all basically the same but to the aficionado they are all unique. The interaction I enjoy with each one between the honing and shaving feeds my RAD and to me why I want more of them makes perfect sense. Big Al takes it a step further being into restoration. I haven't gotten into that yet but I am leaning that way. Thanks for the eye candy Al. :tu

Thanks for the great reply.I think razors are like marbles for men,your right each one is unique.Thats probably the best way anyone has described them.Happy shaving!!!:tu
