NICE! How great looking and highly functional (a combo that is not foreign to you, I notice!)
Very nice Butch...Elegant and simple looking.
Great Razor holder!!!:tu
Wow that is really cool. If you were selling I'd buy one just in a darker wood.
How much force do you have to exert to get those off of there? That's a sweet setup for sure!
This is simply awesome and those scales ain't none too bad neither.

Very original Butch!
:tu
That is really cool, I will also take one with a darker wood.
let me look into the cost of making a few and see what i can do
Lee Valley has something similar for $60 CAD
Doesn't look nearly as nice as Butch's though.

WONDERFUL!
Functional and lovely.
How big are the earth magnets?
Do they hold the razors well? Easy to slip off or nice and snug?
Great workmanship!

Man thats cool ... hope no one slams the bathroom door lol
seriously though that look great I think because it give such a clean look.
I just think stuff like that is so cool , because people are amazed when they see it and I like when they are trying to figure out how it works. I wish I could think of stuff like that to make.
had some old hard drives that died and i parted the mags out of them to use
the maple i have a big board of in the shop
it is not the nicest looking thing from the back as i milled out openings to inset the mags.
the razors hang there quite well and im not worried about a door slamming taking them off as the bar is mounted on a wall
here are a few of the nicer ones i have seen on the net BenchCrafted.com - Home of the MAG-BLOK
i have no connection with them and have as of last night just got to handle one
nice fit and finish and mags seem fairly strong
ok so im thinking i might try to make a 2 and maybe 3rd one
with store bought rare earth mags
i l let you all know how it goes
Very nice! Who cares about the backside - the front looks beautiful! Original thought to take magnets from hard drives; I'll remember that when we're about to replace computer stuff at work.
Small word of warning:
Just make sure you wipe your razors well after honing: over time their steel will get magnetic too, and minute steel honing particles will cling to the blades. These particles rust easily, staining the razors - at least that's what happened to some of my kitchen knives before I new better...
