Just bought an ebay scuttle. Good deal?

I had hoped to pick it up for the starting bid of $9.99, but somebody tried to snipe me with a $15.00 bid at the last second. Fortunately, I put a max bid of $15.01 to begin with. :D


So, any opinions on this scuttle?

Did I get a good deal?

Any thoughts on that brush?

That looks like a nice vintage scuttle. I"d be careful with the handle because of that crack along the top end.

There is also a nice thread here about refurbishing vintage brushes you might want to look at.

Sometimes those odd cents on a bid will let you come out on top, eh? ;) :D

This is very cute! Love the handle of the brush.

The real question is if YOU think it's worth it. If you're happy with it and it does what you need it to do, that's all that really matters.

I have a larger Wade scuttle that I prefer over that design, but that's the beauty of being able to experiment and finding things you like. Overall, I'd take my handmade Peachscuttle every time.

For the price I think you did great.
