I'm really, really sorry to say that I have no way of posting pictures where I am right now, but I just HAD to tell you guys about this! (Pictures will be up late Sunday...or reeeeaaaaallly early MOnday)
I'm in Jonesville MI right now visiting family, and drove over to Allen (The Antique Capital of the World, they claim) to see if I could find some blades... Lots of gift-shop type places, but one huge old store that was basically old, priced and sorted JUNK. PERFECT.
They are going out of business, so everything was 75% off... they had a huge case of old razors. I grabbed a bunch, but there were still some restorable blades left...just had to pick my battles. I got:
1. Wade and Butcher wedge, with coffin
2. 1 Frederick Reynolds wedge, with coffin
3. 1 Wade and Butcher "Fine India Steel Razor" wedge
4. 1 Joseph Elliot silver steel wedge- absolutely massive!
5. 1 Wade & Butcher 5/8 spike point, half-hollowed
6. 1 "The Very Finest" by.. uh...I'll go unpack it and get back to you.
:D This is going to be a beautiful set of blades.
