Well gents i have been having some bad luck. I was laid off from my job today only two weeks after closing on my new house. Good luck to me paying the mortgage. Timne to hit thew pavement and find a new job. I do have something to be happy about however. About six months ago while i was still employed i ordered my new robert williams custom. Have a look and tell me what you all think.
It's beautiful and I'm sure, as all of RW's razors are, a great shaver. I have one and love it. Enjoy it and I wish you the best in your job hunt. In bad times stay positive and keep your head up,,,,,GOOD THINGS DO HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your job, and I do wish you luck in finding a new one...but DAMN that is a fine razor!!!
Love the razor, the point and the way Robert put the jimps a bit past the humpback tang.... not to mention the beautiful scales. I know it will shave just great. Good luck with the job... I hope you are back to work soon.
If you already bought a RW razor, what is there to work for in life? :shrug: ;)

The only thing worse than not having a job is trying to find one. My heartfelt apologies on the no job and new bills. I am however very envious of your handsome new razor. It's a beaut! Keep your head up and Best of luck!
Thanks to all of you on your kind thoughts. Hopefully i wont be un employed to long. Otherwise one of you may have to buy this razor from me eventually. Dont get your hopes up though i ahve many connections in the auto industry im sure i will find a job.
True story: I've been intending to order a custom from Robert for some time. Well, this morning I pulled the trigger. I ordered the very same blade, scales and all. I saw a picture of it on his site... then I log on here and see your post! Thanks for your contribution to its design and for having him make it.....hope you dont mind that a second will be out there.

No lomnger un employed gents. I should call my old boss and tell the fat f%^k thanks for laying me off because i got a job 10 minutes from home making more money. woo hoo.
Oh yea and the razor rocks. Got it yestersday gave it a quick honing and man what a shaver. Rboert is the man. Pleasure to deal with and a true master of his art.

Why? I'd say most straight shavers are gentlemen and wouldn't do that. Instead of calling him and swearing his head off, call him and tell him you can from now on be reached at there-and-there, while thanking him for the years of good employment. It makes you the better man, plus you don't burn any bridges behind you. After all, it takes time to build a good rep, it takes no time to ruin it. ;)Quote:

Obviously i have no intention on actualy doing so. The reason i got this job is exactly for what you said. The gm at my new store called me. I worked for him about 8 years ago and left on good terms. He heard i was out of work and called me. Like you said never burn a bridge. If i had done that years ago i would still be un employed. I was kidding of course i had no intention of calling that fat f^%ker but i would love to all the same.
It's great that you can resist berating your old boss. Let karma kick his arse instead. Karma is a mean and nasty bitch. Best not to **** her off.
