Great finds, and I LOVE the point on the Electric!
Very nice finds Carrie! Aren't antique shop finds just GREAT!! :y
Oh, that Electric looks fun! Looks like Joe's been out workin in the cold, or were you lucky enough to find those beauties in that state?
Nice! I love the blade on that Electric Cutlery!!
I want to find an Electric like yours! The Henckels is going to be a great shaver, that's a given, but the Electric rocks.
I found a 6/8 Square point Electric along with a few others at a flea market on Friday. A dip in alcohol and a pass on the strop and it shaved great! Looks like you had a great score.
Looking good, carrie.
Great finds, how do you manage to find em in such good condition?
We do occasionally find them as good as thee are looking but that was not the case here. Each of these took a trip to the buffers/grinders. Not much but some more than others. Since they are all hollow grinds there isn't too much I can remove from the lower part of the blade but up meat the spine and on the shank I can go to town. My preference is to leave stamps and etchings on where ever possible so I really didn't take much off the shanks either. I was also colder than a witches... in the shop and I am recovering from a back injury so it really needed to be a fast grind where needed. The buffing compounds are what really make the blades pop, as long as most of the pitting is gone and that really goes fast if the grinding is done well.
Thanks for asking. They really should look original or better when finished.
Yup, the Electric seems to be the Gold Medal winner this round. Very nice! :tu
What are the scales on that?
Wow thats a nice looking... shot glass, hahaha. No but seriously those razors cleaned up very well, pretty.
