I've had this pair for a long time. I was searching for some photos of an Aloxite baber hone I once owned for another thread and came across a picture I'd taken of these pair. If I recall I bought them in Calumet, MI in the UP. Just thought I'd share.

Someone in the UP had good taste in razors. Do you still have this pair?
Yes, they're still mine. I've thought on more than one occasion about restoring them, but I feel a stronger duty as a steward of these pieces to keep them, especially the etching as is.Quote:

Good question, Jimmy. Yours is a heavy wedge as well I would assume? Interesting to see the notch vs. the square point versions.

Well yours look nicer than mine ... but mine is indeed a full wedge and a 13/16. Minimal hone wear so oddly enough it was probably made in that width. I have to take it to the hones one of these day and kick the tires and drive it around the block. ;)Quote:
