We've been going antiquing through the winter but now that spring has finally arrived (it was 87 here on Friday) we decided to spend the day touring western NY and searching antique shops. Here are a few of our finds. Sorry, no before pics.

And a few more...
If you would like alternate views of any of the razors or the name isn't clear just ask and I'll post it. The W & B in this group will get new scales once the horn arrives. Pics by JrJoeD.
Note that most all of the razors posted here been buffed and some saw the greaseless. :)
Wow!!!! Those are some serious scores! Congrats!
Beautiful razors, congrats on your finds. I really like the Easy Aces.
Another trip to your secret mines, another ore cart of high grade treasures! You keep up the hope in this group with these posts. You prove that there is a chance for anyone to find a nice razor while out antiquing, if that is a proper verb. Now for your newest finds: Are those MOP scales on the W&B? If so are they as perfect as they look? My other favorite in this Easter basket of nice blades is the J. Wiss. I have only one, and it is a very fine shaver. Many thanks for the pics.
Nice scores. Nice Wiss.

Very nice blades congratulations.
Some fantastic finds! Nice work on them as well. They cleaned up rather nicely.
Thank you for you kind words all.
The first W & B does have MOP scales. There isn't a crack, chip or scratch in them anywhere. The pivot pin is very loose. I tightened it up a bit and stopped for fear of breaking the MOP, so that is how they will stay. Jr and I shaved with it today. It's an excellent shaver.
My heart would have been in my mouth with fear, while tapping on that pin!! You have great courage. Also, it is pretty near impossible to strop a loose razor, unless you know a trick I don't. Had to be done if you were going to shave with it. My most sincere envy and congratulations on that fabulous W&B. I once sold a Boker with perfect MOP scales, and now regret it.
Yep, taping on that pin did have my adrenalin going a little. I started honing the W&B last night and it was a bear to hone with the loose scales. This morning I finished 'er up but taped it open and it went much better. I did the same while stropping it, then had Jr take the pic. Some of the brown near the spine in the pic is from the vintage strop. It's not an every day razor, but then again, none of mine get used every day. This one will probably become the 'Easter' razor. The special razors get assigned a holiday or a day near one.
Very nice W&B with the MOP!
Awesome score.. nice finds!
Wow! That's a great day of shopping!
Congrats on some great finds. :)
I came across a WB with the exact same scales about a year ago at an antique store in Rochester, MN. Like Jimmy's experience, this one had a cracked scale at the pivot area or, the tip could even have been missing IIRC. The shop still wanted like $95 for it. The blade was in good shape to the razor's credit. I passed without much of a thought.

You guys are going to have to consider larger quarters soon. Maybe some of your razors could board with me.
You hit that one right on the head Stimpy. The vault is full! We've got razors all over the place, almost. Carrie is planning on making more razor rolls but she can be at it for a while and I'll still need more. We are trying to be very selective in our acquisitions nut some are hard to pass up. I do like bringing some of them back to life in the shop though. I've pretty much turned off my eBay purchases for some time now. I don't know why but I feel I need just one more! :roflmao:gaah:
Yes, I have stopped acquiring more than a couple of razors per month, because the herd is just too large. Doesn't stop me from looking every day, though! Friday morning I picked up a nice Henckels at an antique store, which had unusual scales. Otherwise, I would have left it there. As Jimmy said, discrimination is the watchword now.
