Antique store score! (Belgian stone)
So I went out antique store hunting today for the first time. Went to a pretty cool shop had hundreds of old cameras, asked the clerk if he had any razors and he pointed me out to a corner in his store. I tarted looking at a couple of them, he had a ton of made in Germany razors mostly names I've never heard of; some were in good condition most weren't ( spines were over-honed) there was this one thiers issard but it had two chips on the bevel, anyways, I was looking at the razors when the salesman told me he also has a sharpening stone, he took it out and I immediately recognized the yellow and purplesk color as a Belgian hone, asked him the price and he started telling me how these are great stones, amazign quality, you can hone almost anything on these, even jewelers use them for gold... (needless to say my heart was sinking with every word he said, had a feeling he was gunna throw a huge number at me)
So it's 20$ if you want it.
I jumped on it right away.
So can anyone tell me anything about this hone?
