Interesting that one has a longbow stamped into the tang. Betcha that is why W&B advertised theirs as "The Only True Bow Razor". :) Neat collection. Those obscure marques can be some of the best shavers.
That Gilchrist caught my eye, that ones a beauty!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that was interesting too. But Gilchrest was the US branch of W&B out of NJ, so it's just an imported W&B that doesn't say W&B.
It was a pleasure to see those blades at the meet, N. I love looking at the old Sheffields almost as much as I love shaving with them.
Some nice fatboys you have in there. congratulations.
Looking good. Thanks for sharing!
Was intrigued by the non-W&B bow razor, but I see that has been explained above.
Beautiful Razors. I like the Gilchrist too.
NIce collection!!! I have a Marville Regan on the workbench right now
I just got this refurbished one in today. It is my first. SO I can confidently call this My Wade & Butcher? Attachment 305330Attachment 305331Attachment 305332Attachment 305333
Nope!
Gilchrist also sold custom-branded razors from Joseph Elliot.

Chances are good there were at least several others we don't know because they didn't have identifiable logos.
Very early, Gilchrist (under the Ramapo Razor Company) likely produced his own razors with imported Sheffield workers, but his workshop burned down after only a short time in operation. It's possible some of the Gilchrist branded razors were also produced there, but the records are incredibly fuzzy.
Also, for reference, this is what Bayamontate's razor looked like before it was reground:

Also noteworthy, Gilchrist sold razors with the Wade & Butcher cross & arrow mark as well, but I don't have any handy pictures of those.
My dream is to collect the entire sequence of numbered Gilchrist razors -- of the 21 Gilchrist razors I have, only 9 are from the numbered sequence and 4 of those are pairs. The numbers go up to at least 44. I have a very tall hill to climb.
I just shaved with this Razor, and OMG!! Absolute best shave of my life. Not exaggerating.
