Another New TI

Got another new TI in the mail today. Its my first one from Steve at TI-UK.
Its the new Dos Festonné.
I haven't had a shave with it yet but really like the look of it.
I have the older Dos Festonné with thumbnotch and I already like the newer one better, mainly because the cutting edge is noticeable shorter. I really like the old ones too but they always felt too long. they are even longer than a Le Grelot which are quite long blades.

Other differences:
-new one is 6/8" all the way so doesn't get bigger at the toe like the old model
-nicer worked spine, in my opinion
-heavier tang and no thumbnotch, jimps on tang

Its a fairly heavy blade, feels about the same as the Le Grelot.
Steve told me these were the last of the historical forgings that TI will produce; once they are gone all the news ones will be made with C135 steel.

Very nice !! I have always like a bit shorter blade myself I am going to look into that one... I have the older one too and love it...
