Wade and Butcher in horn.

When I saw this blade on ebay, I just had to have it. It's probably the nicest shaped blade I've ever seen. When it arrived I removed the broken scales and set about cleaning it up. I wanted to do a sympathtic resoration so I only used black emery and polish on the buffer, making sure I didn't remove the writing and leaving some of the "age"
It was then shipped off to Ernie (nerdman on B&B) and we had a chat about what I wanted. I knew what I wanted the wedge end to look like and I knew I wanted it in horn and the rest I left up to Ernie. I think that he excelled himself. It was his first set of horn scales as well.
I'm definitely looking forward to more collaborations with Ernie.

IMHO

This in my opinion ,,,,is by far,,the best looking razor i've seen on the site for a while.
an excellent job by Ernie,,amazing blade,,,,u r lucky my friend :beer1:

That's a hell of a razor, and the scales came out bada$$!

You only used black emery on the buffer and metal polish to achieve that shine? It came out fantastic!

That is one hell of a blade. I have one like that also but with the original scales. Nice touch with the restored scale style. :tu

Great job on the scales, I especially like the contours on the larger portion. elegant & tastefully done!:rock:
