Very cool. Glad to hone a few for you if you'd like to do some comparisions.

Nice haul! Let us know how you make out with the Boker.
Even if the Boker blade can't be salvaged, those scales are in good enough shape to re-use. If you get lucky with your timing, you can score a Boker blade for a great price off of E-bay.
Nice finds OldSchool!
I have a Roberson's similar to the one you found. Mine didn't have as pretty of scales as yours so it's out for some new clothes. The blade had been overhoned at the toe and isn't the prettiest blade, but after Lynn worked his magic on it, it's one of my go-to shavers. Can't wait to get it back with its new scales. I think you'll find the Roberson to be an outstanding shaver.
I have a Boker with identical scales - mine doesn't say Red Imp on the tang. I'm at work now but I believe it has 101 on the tang. I was fortunate that the blade on mine was in great shape and only needed light cleaning and honing. It too is a nice shaver. Hopefully yours can be salvaged.
Congrats!
Could you post a close up of the scales on the sure edge? How sure are you they are faux tortiseshell, IME real tortise gets very dark with age and those scales look very dark.
Would love to see good close ups of the Robison as well :)
I'd be surprised if they where tortoise, most likely a motled celuloid material, but they do look good :)
GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLL!
Ontheedge,
Yes, I will post shots of the Shuredge scales. It will be a while though, "tis the season". And, to get a good idea, I'm going to have to figure out a way to backlight the scales for a translucent view.
It would be very cool if they were real tortoiseshell. I love the razor regardless, though. It's my only Made in the USA and looks even better live than in my mediocre pictures.
Thanks all for the interest and advice on the Robeson. I was excited when I got it. Even more so now!
Regards,

Gents,
Here is the link to my earlier post on "Those Robesons" razor club thread. Pictures a little better?
