Hey everyone from New Zealand! I though I might introduce myself and join in on this 'obsession' of ours. I've only been straight shaving for a month or two but already know I'll never go back to what the rest of the plebs use. In that time I've also started to accumulate a number of blades which I hope to restore in time (once other projects I have on the go have been completed).
So here is the line up (apologies for my poor photography skills)
5/8 'Baby' Puma

Another online purchase, 3/4 Carrick Brothers, a Scottish blade. Doing a quick search it appears that blades from that country aren't all that common. The reverse has sheffield steel (why I bought it) and ground in germany (i suppose thats where the 'Hamburg Ring' etching comes from I suppose)

3/4 'Slyde Stroke', ground in Germany, never heard of it
Attachment 69761
5/8 Dorko, should be a goodie...
Attachment 69762
My daily shaver, 11/16 Flic, found online, very nice shave
Attachment 69763
13/16 Gotta
Attachment 69764
Bengall #1 3/4 TR Cadman & Sons
Attachment 69765
Bengall #2 3/4 TR Cadman & Sons, also etched as a 'Tonsor' Razor
Attachment 69766
'The Conqueror' Wostenholm & Sons 11/6

So as you can see, all of these restoration, some have some hone wear. But pretty happy with my haul since none cost me more than the equalivent of US$20. Also have the 220/1k/4k/8k norton set, an old barbers hone, an old barbers paddle strop (made from native timber) and the strop I use. Looking forward to continuing with the hobby and learning from everyone on here.
Cheers!
