I picked up this nice Courduff today but I'm not finding much out about the company can anyone help?

Shooter74743 I will get the back side picture posed as soon as I can but it states "Made In Germany From Best Blue Steel" and I think the scales are Ivory but I will not know until I can do a neddle test tonight

I can't help you withmore info on the maker but even with that grainy photo, the scales definitely look to be bone.

The scales do seem to be ivory due to the pin test and how thin they are and the color but there are some small brown dots on one end that could make them fine cut and polished bone when I find my jewelers glass I'll let you know

The small brown dots are for me the giveaway that they're bone. Ivory doesn't have that.

Well on that note they are a very finely made set of thin bone scales I think they are neat either way besides how often do you get a razor like this for less than 30.00

He's not saying anything negative at all, it's just knowing what you have. I have several razors with bone scales that I really like & yes, more than likely they are bone. Looking at the wedge end of the scales is the give away as ivory doesn't have the pores like that. I would have given that for your razor & am one of the cheap-scapes.

Shooter no no no you mis understand me I did not think anyone was saying anything bad about the razor I was just meaning that most bone scales that I have seen were thicker and not as smooth as these. I am very proud of this find and if I am reading the standard guide to razors third edition correctly it should have been made somewhere from 1810 to 1830 but without knowing anything about the company that's just a "swag"
