Bought 3 razors on a fleamarket
Hi all,
today I bought 3 razors on a fleamarket in Belgium.
First one is a ERN with marble bakelite scales with an "Crown & Sword" symbol silver inlay.
I think it's a bit larger than 6/8...
Edit: Just measured it precisely and it's not a bit larger than 6/8...it's a 7/8.
It's a razor with 3 pins and on the razor itselve it says 'ERN' and on the backside '3169', crown & sword logo and the text 'made in germany'.
I haven't come across one of these on the net before...
Maybe you could tell me something more?
(Have no pics untill tomorrow)
My second one is a Kiebitz razor also with marblelike bakelite scales with a silver inlay (Kiebitz logo). I think its about 5/8. On the blade it says 'Original Kiebitz' in gold etching. On the tang it says 'Kiebitz', 'garantie' and the Kiebitz logo. On the other side of the tang it says 'Gebr. Emde' and 'weyer-solingen'.
My third one is a Le Bon Barbier razor with withe bakelite scales.
I think it's a 6/8 razor.
On the blade it says 'Le bon barbier' with some gold etch.
On the tang it says '60 Le Bon Barbier' and on the other side 'Finest sheffield steel'.
The blade is perfectly clean besides some rust over a part of the gold etch...
Any ideas on how to get rid of the rust and save the etching???
Pics will follow tomorrow.
