Two new candidates for restoration

Here are two I sagged off the bay. A Henckles and a W&B.

I envy those of you who have the patience and talent to restore. Make sure and post pictures when you're finished Jon!

the first one does not look too good, but you need to remove the rust to be able to tell for sure. From what I see it seems like it will need a lot of work to sand past the rust and what is under it. If you have a buffer then it will be much easier work to do,
The second blade will restore nicely.

I know the Henckels will be a rough go. These will be my first two restorations. I wanted to cover 2 differient examples of the spectrum. I will difinatly post pics when I am done, just don't expect anything too soon :biggrin:

Actuall My Mom-in-Law has a bench grinder. Couldn't I just put buffing wheels on it, and use it to remove the damage to the henckels?

With the henckles, I doubt just buffing will bring it back where you want...there is probably some pitting that will need to be addressed by sanding or using different grit greaseless compound on a cloth wheel
