So, I've been playing around with veneer inlay techniques for a while now and when I got into straight razors, I decided that such lovely things need lovely storage.
Here's a couple I came up with.

I liked 'em so much at the meet....that I had to have my own!
Thanks Joe!
Fantastic work:)
WOW!!! those look amazing!!! do you sell them as well or just build personal ones????
Very nice work Joe! I've always liked the wooden coffins. Yours almost have a Scandinavian look to them.
Thanks for posting these little treasures :D
Ummm...you've put me in a bit of a strange position....Forum rules forbid me from marketing any products here till I get official vendor status, and even then, it has to be in in the vendor's corner only. I don't want to break any forum rules, as I really enjoy my time here.
I don't think anyone's in trouble :)
The situation right now is that I make cases for myself and occasionally for others.
To any moderators that might be listening....is it OK to continue this discussion?
You know....you could continue this discussion in a PM format or an email? That would probably be ok????? I'm not a mod, so I don't know...I just help people learn to strop!
Beautiful work. Haven't seen anything like these before.
Wow nice...I'm a MOD on another forum, and can say you guys aren't breaking rules, just take it private from that is all.
Very nice boxes, Joe. Have you ever considered making bigger ones? Like...hmm..7-day boxes?
Hmmmm...funny you should mention that. I'm working on two of those right now. pictures to come within a week.
Can't wait!
Very nice indeed. I have a passion for acoustic guitars, which can feature great inlay work. Check out Jimmi Wingert, Larry Robinson, Harvey Leach...inspirational artists.
Excellent work, I like your boxes.
eflatminor...The inlay work on some guitars is nothing short of amazing.
Check out some of Grit Laskin's work if you want a real treat. He actually had a book of his inlay work published.
I actually knocked on his shop door one day when I was in the area. Turns out he's a bit of a curmudgeon, but he did show me around a bit before he politely told me he was very busy and guided me to the door :)
That second box is stunning. that is incredible workmanship. Keep up the good work, and remember, pics or it didn't happen.
